2.Usage
It is used for cutting difficult to machine materials, gray cast iron, wear-resistant cast iron, various high hardness materials, Carbon Steels,High-speed steels,tools steels,Alloy steels,Hardening steels,Die steels,Stainless steels, Bearing Steels, Heat-Resistant Alloys/Super Heat-Resistant Alloys, Sintered Metals,Copper Alloys, Cast Iron, Tungsten Frame-Sprayed Metals,Magnetic Materials, etc. Thermal spraying materials, such as Ni based and Fe based products; Wear resistant cast iron: such as V-Ti Cast Iron, high phosphorus cast iron and chilled cast iron; Titanium alloy and heat-resistant alloy.
3.Advantages
(1) CBN is famous for the second hardest material in the world, which is just next to diamond with high hardness and wear resistance.
(2) It has high thermal stability and high temperature hardness. The cutting is easy because of the large hardness difference between the tool and the processed material when the cutting temperature is high, which lead to less tool loss and greatly improve the service life of the tool.
(3) CBN has high antioxidant capacity and high chemical stability.
(4) Excellent thermal performance makes it have good thermal conductivity, which can quickly transfer the heat at the tool tip and can be conducive to the improvement of workpiece machining accuracy.
The energy consumed by cutting the same volume is only 20% of grinding. Therefore, less cutting heat is generated, which causes less burns, micro cracks and maintains the integrity of workpiece surface performance.
(5) With low friction coefficient, it is not easy to form retention layer or chip accumulation tumor when CBN tool is cutting, which is conducive to the improvement of machining surface quality.
(6) It can improve the machining flexibility and break through the limitation of grinding wheel grinding. Workpieces with different geometric shapes can be machined by changing the cutting edge and tool walking mode;
(7) High cutting efficiency, short processing time and low equipment investment cost, which can reduce processing cost.
(8)The integral cubic boron nitride (PCBN) blade can be machined intermittently, and there is no edge collapse when encountering sand and white cast Iron.
